Good luck, I just tried 'fareshop' on the CAA website and it shows no ATOL at all! Whereabouts in London is it based?Westminster TS are usually quite good as is Brent and Harrow. Esssex is brilliant if they are in the eaternmost part of London but the rest are pretty hopeless to be honest!

Their ATOL number is 9667. It seems they are trading under several different company names which are linked to a 'Serendib Lanka Travels Ltd', the same company listed on our credit card statement.

Pretty much all their websites are down or they have pages with dead links etc.

They have recently been in contact to confirm the flight has been paid for. They have just emailed me a valid ATOL certificate, Travelport ID and booking confirmation, all which check out with the airline. However, the airline has advised that because of the type of ticket purchased, the agent can withdraw the booking at any time.

Fareshop have advised us that the original booking had not been honoured due to the airline changing their flight times by 10 minutes? And their website, email and telephone systems have all crashed so they have been unable to operate. They did call us from a withheld number so I'm not filled with confidence that all will be as it seems, however on the surface of things, it looks like we are back on schedule.

Best of luck, their premises in Lewisham certainly need urgent repair but at least with an ATOL Certificate you ought to be protected. Their licence from the CAA is only for 500 seats a year so it is tiny in the realms of travel businesses, hope all goes well!
