    What a nasty post
Nasty or not, and I apologise if I offended anyone on here, that is my experience that people on those two benefits combined have a lot more money than people who are on physical disability benefit

You said far more than that in your post though, didn't you?
Again, I ask how you can afford to gamble when on benefits? I'm guessing you have quite a bit coming in from DLA and Mental Illness. They always seem to get a fair wodge. A couple of people I know are on that and they spend their days playing fruit machines and supping away. They don;t seem very ill to me. They know what they are doing when it comes to the gambling.

You make unfounded judgments about the OP and these people you apparently know. Also, there is no reason why someone with mental health problems would receive more than someone with physical problems of the same severity - the benefits received would be the same.

You are very ignorant. If you do not understand the benefits system I would suggest that you ask, rather than making sweeping judgments.

The OP, granted, I don't know what he's on, would he care to tell us then? I notice he has not done so so far. These people I apparently know I do actually know and they have actually told me how much they are on and that they would be on less if they were not on mental health benefits. The guy literally went through everything he had coming in every week. And I have seen him putting countless £10 notes in the fruit machines. Money paid for partly by me. So you see I do get very angry when I see that going on. Maybe not everyone on those benefits does get as much as him. I was just talking out of experience of people I know now and have known in the past.

well said,it`s the same scenario as the Bullingdon boy assuming if you go to work and the neighbours curtains/blinds are closed they are a benefit cheat

DLA is the same rate as any other disability payment you don't get extra for having a mental illness ,if you feel so strongly about it,report him/her,I would ?!!! I think he is "winding you up"

What would I report him for? As people here have said many times it is up to him how he spends it. And that is where the benefits system falls apart as I am sure there are many just like him.he had admitted he is supposed to get home help with his dla but doesn't (could report him for that I suppose). Unless he was forced to I don't think he would. And I don't think he is winding me up tbh judging by the amount I know he throws in the machines.
