I used to work in a central London office opposite a1960s block of flats. The occupants of the flats were out all day except 1. Everyday we saw him get into the shower and the windows that looked opaque were in fact totally see through. I imagine at night you could see every occupant in the shower. 300 people in an office block used to shout every time he went into the shower!

The design meant that the shower walls were the windows- hard to describe.
