I was somewhat horrified to find out that my mum was using this Company. She started using them in about May 2010. Due to her failing health she has had to move house and as she was with this company she has asked them to be her phone provider at her new place. Now she has a lifeline so her phone is essential.
But 2 weeks down the road she is still without a phone connection.
You cannot get hold of them and the research I have carried out is not good.
I want rid of them but it seems it is not easy. They want about £300 to finish the contract which they say expires in May 2013. I have spoken to mum about this and she says that she has never signed any agreement.
Has anyone any ideas, her having no lifeline and on top of that get ripped off is very worrying to me.

Unfortunately she doesn't have to sign an agreement to be bound by the minimum term, which will be in the small print.
4-6 weeks is fairly typical for a new line provision, if that is what is required-not 2 weeks. That's down to BT OR, not the reseller.
Is she aware that accepting a home move with them will almost certainly be starting her on a new minimum term contract?
If the company you refer to is EZe-Talk, then the following ETC applies to phone contracts: £8 per month remaining, plus £25. So based on a contract ending in May 2013, her ETC should be (6 months x£8)+£25: around £73-so where does £300 come from? I can see no reference to the minimum term in the T&C's.
