Looking for vague opinions really.......
If you had a case already through the CSA (only using them because of refusal to pay) and you found out that the NRP hadn't told the CSA of a significant salary increase which would UP your children's money by around £90 a month......
Would you go back for re-assessment?
Children are now 17 & 15.....eldest has just started 6th form & there's never been a re-assessment in 4 years since the case started.
to me it seams like YOU do not think it would be FAIR to do so... SO WHY ask, just to make your own sense of guilt go away... i guess you know the guy is suffering and struggling to live as it is... right?0 -

There's always one:D
Yes Wayne. Obviously he's struggling. The 59 plate BMW he's driving was available for peanuts i assume?
Thanks for making a judgement without knowing the facts. Cheers.
I could post a lot more about the financial settlement in his favour but i guess that would be pointless since you've already made your mind up.
Excuse me while i go shift this tar & feathers.Autism Mum Survival Kit: Duct tape, Polyfilla, WD40, Batteries (lots of),various chargers, vats of coffee, bacon & wine.0 -

do you know how he gets the car?
i actually had to sell my 59plate focus and buy a cheaper car "in a part ex deal" because i couldnt afford it...
but too true, i dont know the ins and outs, do you???
59 plate means 3 years old... 3 year old beamers dont exactly "break the bank" (118 / 2 series/3 series)...
perhaps a company car?
but the thing i see is with your post "im gonna shop my ex for earning more, and get a bigger slice of the pie... who thinks im right to do this?"0 -
http://www.usedcarexpert.co.uk/cars/bmw/3-series/price-guide/ dont base your case for if somebody is living well on what car they drive... sometimes a car is essential to live... i used to have an L reg astra and spend mor eon it in a month than i do a 59 plate meriva... (insurance fuel etc all cheaper - then we get to the repair bills)0

I think I would have no qualms about calling and asking for a reassessment, based on the information you've said here.0

if it is his car, then it is about #15000 and at 5.8% that is #454 a month over 3 years....
that is a luxury not a right...!!!
and while i am here, i am all for supporting new families, everyone has to move on, but, and it is a big but, if you have more children, then i believe that should you split with that partner, a new case should be deemed as a new case and the previous children should have no bearing, so 1 child in 1st family is 15% 2 children in 2nd family is 20% total being 35% why should the 1st family have to reduce to 8% as a result...0 -
if it is his car,
...........
that is a luxury not a right...!!!
but, you cant say that... if it is his car, how was it paid for... perhaps his boss makes him payments for travel which he invested in a reliable vehicle... or an "accident damaged" vehicle came cheap... cat c beemers are cheap to come by...
my ex comments on the fact that i ride a motorbike and drive a car... motorbike cost 800 quid new, and costs next to nothing to fill up (i think last year about 80 quid max in fuel ... 100 mpG+ for a journey to work... unfortunately bad back meant i cannot ride it too often so stick to the car)
but still its a 125 learner legal so wife can go on it if she wants etc... (CBT) [sadly my son is a bit young (3) to go on a motorcycle, so contact cant be done using the bike]
my car is an essential thing (3 kids, one living so far from me plus work - i have to collect stock etc for work too, so car is part of my livelyhood)
[i live in a village without regular buses etc too, so its essential for shopping n nursery etc too]
sometimes you cannot deem something to be a luxary...
and kevin, you do not know what bmw it is, a brand new 118 costs as much as a ford focus... (my focus was 18grand brand new... a new 118 is about the same)
most finance deals r three years, but i'd assume if he still has a 59 plate its most likely Second hand / 5 yr deal...
and can get plenty of low rate / 0% offers on beemers with a hefty deposit... you really dont know what he put down on the car... perhaps he had a 06 desiel focus, worth about 4-5grand he traded in... so only financed about 10grand @11% = 220 month or so...over five years...
what the NRP does with HIS money is his choice...
PWC / OP is stating she heard he had a pay rise... perhaps this payrise was a company car?...
hearsay isnt good enough, but one thing is clear: the vampires are outlol

I would say ''yes''...but...how do you know his salary has increased? (sorry if thats already been answered) ....would his wage slips show this increase? does he pay into a pension scheme? ( only relevent to CSA1 I think ).0

pension scheme works for both cs1 cs2 and the new CS3 (gross income). obviously, it will reduce benefit likelyhood in the future so it has to be taken into account.
and this is exactly what i mean about his wages... the fact OP has "heard" he has a pay rise means nothing... maybe this payrise relates to a new car he has been "given" (which doesnt count to CS payments)
how does the OP "know" it would mean an extra 90 quid a month?...0
