When my daughter was about 7 she had a wardrobe in her bedroom that she kept saying she didn't like. It was a nice white wardrobe that fitted nicely in the room so couldn't understand why she didn't like it and we didn't move it. At Christmas the children sat down to write letters to Father Christmas and we left them to it and then pretended to send the letters up the chimney. When they had gone to bed we rescued the letters from inside the chimney and read them. To our surprise our daughter had only asked for one thing. She wanted Father Christmas to take the wardrobe away. We took it to the tip the next day.

My 5 year old DS has asked for a car driven by a reindeer. When my mum said that she hasn't seen any shops selling one he told her that Father Christmas can just make him one! I have no idea where I am going to get one of these from.

cheap toy car (or remote control car), and a plush reindeer from poundland/home bargains/B&M

I just asked my three year old. She says she'd like a lunchbox.

Fortunately, Santa did the Babybel offer in the summer and can oblige.

When my son was about 6 his list included "a pair of evening shoes" ! Apparently we were going out somewhere one time and he only had trainers and school shoes and I had said a pair of shoes to wear out in the evening would be useful so he thought he'd add them to his list! We still take the mickey 10 years later every time a list appears :)

I remember when my little brother was about 3 he asked for 'a man in a trumpet' and 'lots of children all stuck together'. Apparently he thought it would be easier to manage his offspring if they were all stuck together so they would always all be in one place! Still not sure about the man in a trumpet...

These are so funny and heartwarming!

My daughter keeps asking her 2 year old brother what he wants. So far all he wants is a chocolate cake.

Daughter who's nearly 8 wants a tandem bike and a ukulele. Santa can manage the ukulele but def not the tandem. I keep reminding her that it's a rather large and expensive present for him to manage to get for her. Hope she's not too disappointed!
