Today I have received a claim form from Northampton County Court whereby I have to respond within 14 days, unsure of what to do now although I am miffed that the litigation letter I received last week gave us 14 days 'from the date of the letter' (which was undated!) to pay before they commence county court proceedings...to pay or not to pay? I am still angry that they are trying to get money out of me for not displaying a permit, when according to the shop, they had not at that point even issued permits to display! Any thoughts appreciated.

So you need to respond and ask for time to defend this. Post about it on pepipoo with a picture of the claim form in the thread, post here:

You will seea few other small claim cases mentioned on there and they are used to helping people (for free) to write their defence and get rid of this scum.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • So this is two relative newbies with Court Papers from Premier Park. This suggests a significant change in tact from this particular PPC, so it will be interesting to see if I get served papers on any of the 10 tickets (or maybe a large combined claim) I have on the go with them, two of which are pre-POPLA and the others post.

    A couple of things

1 see if you can get a pass for your visitors from the pet shop
2 If they are charging for parking then their business rate will rise and their customer numbers will fall.
    3 is it their land?

I don't think it is their land, does that make a difference?
