Litter tray in bedroom?
Comments
-
have you got an 'Open' litter tray? could you get one which is enclosed and see how he gets on with that? or pop a chair over the tray and drape a towel to form a Tent loo?
he may feel a bit 'exposed' and is expressing his feelings by poo-ing outside the tray?
or is the tray too 'clean and hygienic and he cant 'smell' where to go?
I agree with this.
My boys aren't blind just a pain in the bum and can't stand a clean litter tray. Or being exposed.
Their litter tray is now in a quiet corner and when I empty it I pop a small clump of wee litter into a poop bag and then put it under the fresh litter to attract them to it and it seems to the trick. It's not enough to make my living room smell like cat wee but it's enough they know where to do their business.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I left a small bit of peecake in the litter tray as a marker and tonight we got a poop in the litter tray!
I was celebrating IRL I kid you not! He also seems very affectionate and playful so maybe he was mad at me and has now graciously forgiven. We'll see...Emergency savings: 4600
