Did I tell that I have joined a local orienteering club? I did their couse in the spring but only last week went to the "evening orienteering event" on my own i.e. without someone guiding my hand with the compass. I was bit lost quite few times. But luckily other people even if they were doing different tracks were kind enough to point my place on the map and after two hours in the woods found my way out and had found all the points in the right order (end result was 14th out of 18 in doing that track).
Then today I was going again. Everything seemed to be against me. I left the office bit late, had to visit library and get my shoes from the cobbler. Then I couldn't find my phone, so back to the office, looking through car, bags, changing room. Back upstairs and there it was on my desk. DOH! Then looking for this orienteering place (different wood every week). Put my sat nav on (ha ha what an irony) and drove happily past the place (4 km past the place when I was running low on petrol).
At this point I was thinking that I shoudn't go orienteering, I shoud drive straight home (if I could find my way) but decided to stick it. So went, chose the easiest track/route/what ever you call it and off I went. Was back 45 minutes later with a clear run. I am sooo chuffed. I am so pleased I didn't give up after one badish experience and also that I didn't give in to my negative head talk when things started to go wrong today.
Came home to have big portion of roasted pork with courgettes and carrots. Yum, yum. Hubby just brought me decaf coffee so life is pretty much perfect again."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

My weight loss hit a snag. Kept swinging within one kilo up and down and then just stuck. I was getting desperate and started even reading the updated Atkins diet thinking that I should curb my carbs even further. However this morning finally the movement was down. There is no quarantee that it won't get stuck again but at least I am doing the right things.
I have cycled to work now on four days and I am feeling it. Today I opted for a bus and train because I needed to go and do some shopping after work. I am getting really scared about money situation. DD has been invited to numerous parties, we went to circus on Monday and planning on going to the zoo next Friday. And I got a bill for car insurance for a year. It was 1.5k
Anyhoo what did I buy then apart from birthday presents (and some sock wool, couldn't resist it was on offer)?
I bought new jeans as the old ones are TOO BIG!!!!
Two years ago I lost ten kilos and then kept using the same old jeans and put the weight all back again. Now there won't be any room to let that happen.
I haven't been using my home gym but on the other hand I have been cycling, orienteering or swimming. My orienteering is coming along nicely. Didn't get lost at all on Tuesday and was 7th out of 13. Woop woop. Next Tuesday my English lessons will start but I will have an option to go to night orienteering. Well it is actually late evening orienteering but it will be dark. Need to borrow headlamp from DH and give it a go.
Another little project that I am planning to start as soon as I have done an inventory in my wardrobe is Project 333. More info HERE."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

What a week. I did cycle to work couple of times bringing my total now to seven days. Aiming for three days next week. Work is getting busyer which I prefer but poor old brain is trying to keep up. Especially as now I go to English and Swedish lessons every week. Did I tell that I started TaiChi? Big mistake, it was level two so I was completely out what was going on. I need to call if I can cancel it. Alexander tecnique was very good introduction and gave a good start but I would need to focus and practise for it to have any permanent benefit.
We meant to go to the zoo tonight. It is the cats' night but DH is poorly so we have to skip. They do these every year so perhaps we can do it next year. But there is a dog show we can go to on Sunday and the tickets are lot cheaper too. I am hoping to meet the breeder of the collie I used to have there.
Don't really know what else to say. I fit now to my old trousers so there is no imminent need for new work trousers (I have two pairs getting a bit too baggy to wear :T). No project 333 has been started as yet but it is there in the back of my mind when I get the urge to purge my wardrobe. I do have a problem with a pile of t-shirts. Shall I a) ditch them b) count them under home lounging wear or c) count them as sports wear. Hmmm, might just divide them under all three."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Lovely to hear from you MArru.
You sound very happy and settled.
Well done on the weightloss.
Where do you find these things like project 333?
Hope DH has nothing serious and feels better soo.0 -
Thanks Aesop, DH is now better, he has these dizzy spells but luckily recovers pretty quickly.
Today we went to the outdoor museum looking at old houses. Very old as some were from 17th century. It was very interesting to see how people had lived back then. The weather has been stunning. I can't believe it is mid September.
I found the project333 when I googled capsule wardrobe. I will need one as my whole wardrobe will need changing eventually (too old stuff or too big). So I have now picked my colours: charcoal, sage green, tomato red and chocolate brown. Yes I have now tops that are pink or purple but eventually I will change these to colours I actually like. It is like building a Rome kind of project. And black will be changed to charcoal even if it means I will be wearing my black trousers until I find pair that fit the bill. Luckily I found smaller size black trousers (given to me when I was just able to fit into them) that fit me now so I can soon chuck out my old ones.
Dogshow tomorrow - woohoo!!"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Hi Marru - I've been doing project 333 for 18 months now and absolutely love it.
The biggest bonus is that that is has proved a great energy saver by making my life so much simpler in the morning and also because it's got rid in one swoop of that vague feeling I ought to browse clothes/charity shops if passing 'just in case' because I now know I have all I need clothes wise so I don't need to pick up another teeshirt/pair of trousers etc. (Other than a little bit of planned shopping at start of each new season - I haven't had to buy anything this summer though)
I've had so many compliments on my clothes since I started too (without anyone knowing I am doing 333): I think it's because you truly only keep what you love and really suits you.
When I find something new I love I now sometimes buy two (which till counts as one item under 333 rules) - again, saves the endless decision making in the morning. I have created my own work 'uniform' this way.
With regard to your tee-shirt dilemma and which category to place them in, I would choose what you think you need and put the rest away and see how the first 3 month season goes and get rid or swop items at the end. It's 'allowed' to juggle an swop items form your 'put away box', especially as you get used ot the project concept.
Good luck:)I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
I am trying to do something similar, so as "meh" clothing wears out I am replacing it with either something I would like to wear or nothing!Must use my stash up!0

Hi Marru, it's great to hear about your new life

I hadn't heard of project 333 before, I've just checked it out and it looks like just what I need at the moment. Thanks for mentioning it - and Brighton Belle, glad to hear it has worked for you in the longer term :j0
