new TOM TOM but no sd card? got one won't connect to ?? ani ideas PLEASE :)

Morning, I've a TOM TOM 510 that my sister in law brought from her catalogue and when she returned it as unused (as she brought a better deal from Halfords) the catalogue company said the sd card and activation code was missing and wouldn't accept it back and returned it to her, we know the card and code was there but…

Thanks Gaz_Hammer. I had this activation problem and it took TomTom support a week to get around to suggesting I wipe the flash card! Naturally that fixed it, but not before I'd bought a second map (which is now locked to my TomTom ONE but doesn't work, can't be sold on and can't be returned for credit!
