  • not for me, i think it looks cheap. I think it looks okay on a fireplace but not a tree
  • My 12 year old DD has some on her bedroom tree...never on the trees downstairs :)
  • We have some snow covered very dense green tinsel on the banister with fairy lights on, people always comment on how pretty it looks Surprised it must be about 24 yrs old but still looks like new.

I always put tinsel on a tree, it looks too bare without it. If you do it right with the right colours it can work well.

Not on my tree in the living room, but it goes on the children's trees!

No tinsel here I'm afraid. I think it looks a bit tacky. However I prefer our decorations to look very traditional and our tree does NOT look bare! I'll post a pic when it's up :)

I'm not a tinsel fan but children seem to love it. We don't have it on the tree but when the children were younger, we used it to wrap around things like mirrors & headboards in the bedrooms.

    Oh no.

Something new to not be able to make a decision about. I'm doomed. :rotfl:

I usually tinsel but I'm now wondering whether to go bare this year. :D

Cheers OP, you great big PITA.:p:D
