I've found a reference to "powerful barons of Hohen Sax, many of whose castles, reduced to ruins by the Appenzellers...." so it does sound like B

The Barons of Sax were a noble family from the Eastern and today one of the most aristocratic families of the Rhine Valley and the Grisons.
They placed churchmen, Klostervögte, military leaders and even minstrel. 1633 died from the sex. Ancestral home of the family is the Hohensax Castle in the Rhine Valley, yet it goes back to the noble family of Torre from Bleniotal.
Ulrich von Hohensax (1463-1538) was the first recorded General of Switzerland. He was considered a brilliant military leader and was technical innovations and in particular the timing very receptive.
(From google translate on the hohensax.de website) so I am going with E0 -
