On o2 £26 unlimited calls/texts 12 month sim ? upgrade ANYTIME within 12 months!!!

Customers on the previous (currently £20 special offer) £26 12 months sim "unlimited" calls and texts can upgrade anytime to a phone included contract, just call o2 customer services as this can only be done direct with o2 through their upgrades dept, from month 2 onwards no fee will exist to pay off your current remaining months if you upgrade to a new contract & handset term.

Apparently it's to stop customers leaving o2 so you get £26 a month unlimited and can upgrade at anytime, handy for those awaiting a specific handset/handset price to fall/4G launch.


The new promotional 12 month "unlimited" sim contract currently at £20 a month deal, is not upgrade "anytime" but you can upgrade at month 6 onwards at no cost to go on a phone contract, as above terms with no remaining 6 months contract to pay off.

What phone do you get with that?

I just got the OH a Samsung Galaxy S3 on a £26 plan unlimited calls, unlimited texts and 1GB internet. The details are on Hotukdeals. There are better SIM only deals with no phone.

It is info for current £26 monthly unlimited 12 month sim only customers. They can contract with handset upgrade and not pay the remaining xx months sim only payments due.

Customers taking the current promo £20 sim only 12 months "unlimited" will have to serve 6 months before getting the same out of contract xx months clause to upgrade contract/handset.

It may work out better to ask for the £26 offer from sales, rather than the current promo £20 monthly rate. It gives more flexibility for £6 a month more.

Nowhere on the website does it say "you can upgrade to a handset contract and we will not hold you to account for XX months sim only contract payments you are due us".

Dont think people are reading properly. It is only via upgrades via phone calling o2 direct ONLY. The 30 day UNLIMITED/1GB is £56 a month, for 12 months £26 (or current £20 promo), thats a £30 a month saving to be had and free to upgrade to a handset ANYTIME !

Not that I'd touch o2 contract, 3 times bitten - always shy
