Cleaning oven door glass

Anyone got any tips?
I would love to be able to see how my food is cooking without having to open the oven door (I want to bake a cake this weekend, so more crucial than checking on my oven chips).
I have previously tried four attempts with Mr Muscle and only succeeded in being able to remove a bit (with a lot of elbow grease), I have also tried baking soda but sadly failed to get the remarkable results others on the internet seemed to.
Anyone used anything that has worked spectacularly in the past?

Hiya, baking soda made into a paste with water works really well. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0

Ovenmate is what you need! Expensive, but works! You can get it from Lakeland.0

Do you have a window scraper with a blade in? if so use it to scrape off the worst burnt on bits then clean with a brillo mine's perfect still and I've had it over 10yrs. I usually wipe it off while its hot though so it doesn't get really bad.#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

Tried that, didn't do anything. It's some pretty well established grease. Housemates, grrr.
Thanks for all the suggestions.0 -
Stardrops I think it's called from Poundland. Should help to shift the worst of itWealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0

Thanks, just checked it out and it comes with the following warning - "Must Not be used on surfaces where high strength acid based cleaners (e.g. Cillit Bang) have previously been used - the chemicals may react." - guess that's ruled out given the previous Mr Muscle use.0 -
As above, use a window scraper. The sort used for getting paint off window glass. Works every time.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Brillo pad - well several probably
Lots of hot water
Rubber gloves (it can be manky and gloves protect your skin from fine metal in brillos)
Something really lively on the radio to keep you going
Lots and lots of elbow grease0 -
No effort at all with a window scraper though, and no chemicals either.
I got the idea from watching a professional oven cleaner use one.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
