Hiya
Looking for a new android phone, i have used the galaxy ace but gave it to my daughter as i found using the phone annoying as screen went black when using. (is this common with touchscreens?)
I now have the HTC cha cha which isn't a well known phone, its ok but very slow and so would ideally like another android which is not too slow and has a good camera.
I have a budget of up to £250 would like PAYG on 02/unlocked.
Any ideas?

Nexus 4 costs £239 and has very high end specs. Arguably the best phone out but you will have to wait until december 13th as its not in stock at the moment.0

What do you mean? Like a screen saver on a PC?0 -
Yes i think it was proximity sensor?
Have seen the reviews on nexus look very good, its quite a big phone though, 2 others i have been looking at are htc one s and htc desire x. I think i will need to see them to get a feel for which one.0 -

Have you Googled the problem? If it is a sensor there might be a sensitivity adjustment? Although to be honest it sounds like a fault with the handset.0 -

Yes to me thats the only downside to the nexus. I would go with the htc one s over desire x because of its superior camera.0 -
I like the reviews on the htc one s but i then i keep reading about a homescreen bug0

One S is a great phone, the S4 chip that powers it (don't get the S3 one) is excellent.
I'm holding a Nexus 4 right now, the size isn't so bad, in fact once you're used to a big HD phone you'll winner what you were worried about (unless you have truly tiny hands).0 -
Thanks, which do you prefer? I guess the nexus as its the better phone?
With the HTC S why do you say the S4 ?0 -
S4 is it's processor, S3 is an older, inferior chip. It's not bad (was used in a few of last year's top end phones), but the S4 whips it.
The Nexus 4 is indeed better (very impressed with it), but you'll have a very hard time finding one in budget at the moment, as Google haven't said when they'll be selling them again.0
