I resisted the temptation to.. people already think I work for Huawei!

My reservation in this case is its a 4" screen phone and a bit of a smart phone lovers phone really and involves a bit of fettling to get its best, op may be better off with something off the shelf in this case.
I think it's fine straight out of the box myself but understand it can be improved even further.

The problem is that it's very hard to beat as value for money even at the £100 let alone £69 hence it keeps getting the posts about it

My reservation about the Galaxy Ace good phone that it is would be the memory problems ?
It's not just about the money

I got the G300 and apart from the unlock its pretty much out of the box with a few Apps. I surf for about 1-2 hours a day and normally have about 30-50% battery life at the end of the day.

My parents have the Nokia 610 and if your not too bothered about APPs or flash player etc then its a decent quick phone which is not as big as the G300.

In my opinion battery life falls down on smartphone mainly due to internet use. I have a Sony x10 mini which used to die after 12 hours each day from 1-2 hours internet use but will go a couple of days if the internet is not used.

The G600 obviously has the biggest bang for it's buck and if it was me then this would be the one to go for. For my wife I think it will be a little to big for her and may be a little too power hungry.

It looks like it will be a straight shoot out between the Galaxy Ace and Nokia 610.

Incidently how long does the charge last and for what type of usage?

Decison now based on which of the two has the better camera and battery. Hope it's not an even split i.e one better on battery and the other camera.

There is really nothing in it hardware, camera, battery capacity wise, but the Nokia is Windows based which although many would argue is OK I think will die a death sooner rather than later and either way has hugely less apps than android. Android 2.3 has plenty of life left in it yet.

Hello peeps, hope someone can help and advise a suitable smartphone for my wife.

I will be purchasing outright, the phone does not have to be feature packed. The phone will be mainly used for calls and texts. Internet won't be used much but would like a decent camera and good battery life. I realise that most smartphones are power hungry. The battery is the biggest consideration. Android or Windows, matter not which type.

I am trying to convert wife away from her current phone which is a Motorola Razr and shes had it for about 10yrs.
I am looking to spend as little as possible for a phone with a good battery and camera. Thanks

Another vote for G300 here - never figured out why anyone gets concerned about battery usage??

G300 out the box is fine - that said I've never had a phone not make it through the day no matter how much i use it - actually thats a lie - my Motorola fliphone/housebrick used to last about 2 hours on standby

i recharge every night (at cost of 0.000000000001 pence per year) so struggle to see a problem??
When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?
