My reservation in this case is its a 4" screen phone and a bit of a smart phone lovers phone really and involves a bit of fettling to get its best, op may be better off with something off the shelf in this case.

I think it's fine straight out of the box myself but understand it can be improved even further.

The problem is that it's very hard to beat as value for money even at the £100 let alone £69 hence it keeps getting the posts about it

My reservation about the Galaxy Ace good phone that it is would be the memory problems ?

There is really nothing in it hardware, camera, battery capacity wise, but the Nokia is Windows based which although many would argue is OK I think will die a death sooner rather than later and either way has hugely less apps than android. Android 2.3 has plenty of life left in it yet.

Another vote for G300 here - never figured out why anyone gets concerned about battery usage??

G300 out the box is fine - that said I've never had a phone not make it through the day no matter how much i use it - actually thats a lie - my Motorola fliphone/housebrick used to last about 2 hours on standby

i recharge every night (at cost of 0.000000000001 pence per year) so struggle to see a problem??
