Congratulations Nickyj hope you have many happy and prosperous years ahead of you (and your family!)

I have been potting all my spare change at the end of each week - i think i have about £20 in my pot at the moment will count soon in order to 'change some small change' so i don't have loads to sort out at the end.....

    Hope everyone is well....

Lovely to hear your news Nickj, congrats and welcome to baby Thomas :j

Hello Newbies, and hope you enjoy being part of the potting thread and all that lovely dosh you save up.

Felt a bit under the weather with a stinker of a cold but back to normal now and back to potting away.

I have had a total of 4 x £2 for the owls head, still been doing the £1 per day and potting any scrapnel which came to a total of ..... *fanfare*....£2.89. Need to get a few more £1 coins as I am falling behind on the save the money for the number of week (a week behind if the trust be known) but I will get there.

well as you know, I have a german student staying with me and the latest trick is to wear jeans for one day and put them in the wash...grrrr but in good old fashioned MSE style (and from reading this tip on OS) I brush any mud off from the jeans, spray them with a homemade fabreeze type freshener and run them through the trouser press. So far so good! I have started counting up and everytime I do this, I am paying myself 10p per pair of jeans and I am up to......£2. (Oh boy I hope he doesnt cotton on!!). :rotfl:
