  • ... to please join the 2013 SPC! I think I will set a (hopefully) achievable target of £200 by end November (not including £2 coins that are currently going in the holiday fund, which already stands at £205, yippee!) Will find a big jam jar and tape it down tomorrow; I'm sure the kids will be happy to help! Wish this newbie luck...;):rotfl:

Oh I found a penny road kill at college today but ended up giving it to one of the other girls because she has had such a run of bad luck recently and the penny was heads up... superstition and all... probably should of kept it as I have a feeling I will need all the luck in the world after my dodgy Uni interview lol! will update siggy xx

    Hi everyone *waves like mad*,

Welcome all the new folks, it's been mad here today (well yesterday now hehe, fell asleep on the sofa oops!!).

Sue, I can afford to be generous with the biccies, in my imagination they are homemade so very MSE. I actually love making biscuits and bread but the kitchen is so cold I don't think bread would rise atm! I'm glad the signature is ok, I was so thrilled at getting a star I couldn't stop grinning, it really made my day *dances*.

Lindylou68 and Coxy56, Sue (our amazing leader and chief cheerleader) will be along to give your numbers, but in the meantime start potting those pennies. Lindylou68 I am sure your target is very achievable especially as you have already saved all those £2s - brilliant! And Coxy56 this thread is totally my inspiration. I always wanted to save before but never quite got there, now I just want every penny in the pot!

I really cannot stress enough how much subscribing to the thread has motivated and helped me. You can do this via 'thread tools' tab in the green bar above the posts. It makes it sooooo much easier to find your way back here and the email alerts are great for that extra little reminder.

galaxynicole - I actually had 2 pots last year as one got full and the other nearly was. I had them on top of my PC (the tower stands on my desk) so no excuse not to pop that loose change in the empty one. This year I plan to have my desk full - though that may be wishful thinking on my part hehe.

Well £1.56 potted in total, would have been more but I figured I had better give Hubby back the £1 coin and some silver I found in his pocket as he will need it for coffees at work. Being a chilled goods lorry driver he needs to keep warm and they only cost him 20p so I can't really deprive him. The copper and 5p's were all mine though!

Sleep well folks and see you in the morning!
