No, a shower pump requires a hot water tank, it does not work off the main, so you can't have one with a combi. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Sorry that was worded very badly.
A pump can be fitted in the airing cupboard with the hot water tank or under the bath so won't take any intrusive work to a new bathroom suite.

Hi guys,
Quick update. My plumber friend has started on ripping out the old bathroom inpreparation for the new suite today. He has gone through our system and made afew calls and come up with the following in terms of shower options:
· Shower Pump – the cold and hot water tanks aresimply too small to properly accommodate a decent pump. Apparently the pumpwill just drain it too quickly to have any amount of time in there at all! Iwould need to upgrade the tanks and move them up into the loft which is morelabour and parts than I’d want.
· Electric Shower with integrated pump – Again won’twork very well, he did explain this but I didn’t quite understand it over thephone, I’m going through it with him tonight after work.
· Electric shower – fine as an option and can goahead with his electrician friend if this is the route we go down.
· New combi boiler.
To get a decent shower, my options now are basically spend money onupgrading the hot water tanks etc or spend money on a new combi boiler.
This is a nightmare, I thought I had it sorted with fitting a pump L

Just have this or similar piped up to your combi and your hot water/power shower woes should be over (mains pressure/flow acceptable of course)Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
