Yeah - 7 posts so far and all plugging the same not very well known cashback site
I think we've worked it out - it's your site and you're a spammer.
Reported.
AVOID - sites that need spamming are usually not worth visiting.0 -
nicolasmith is spamming same crappy cashback site
Quidco or Topcashback is all you need
PS I got £93 today from Quidco for insurance and some small purchases, I bet I get a lot less if I used these0 -
Re : littleowl post a while ago!
Buy only the cheap lossing leading deals from the supermarkets when they are on! It may teach supermarkets that they can't force the little retialers like they have in the past and are now to close!
Locally to us, Cwmbran Power Station has a weekly locally produced vegetable pickup for a couple of quid a week. You get a pack of locally produced seasonal vegetables - and quite a big bag for what you can buy in the supermarket. Very fresh! Also not stored and packed (like in the supermarkets) to expire in a few days...
I like Indian food and have found going down to a local market have found large bags of chillis that last a hell of a lot longer than the supermarket ones and at about the same price that you get for about 6 prettily packed chillis in the supermarket.
Look around your local area - you'll find very good deals and much cheaper and fresher than the supermarket can offer - but it does take a bit of looking and asking around!
Bear in mind, once you've spent the effort finding those place you'll know where to go in future. It will also protect your local communities. It's worth travelling about all those industrial estates and markets you've never gone to see in your local area to find out what they actually can offer you! I only found out about the veg thing through a little flyer at a local notice board.0 -
Hiya dont know if correct place to ask this question so let me know if it is not:-
am wondering does anybody know if market stalls and pound shops who sell branded goods like cosmetics and toiletries are actually the real thing - as cant fathom why anyone would pay the boots, superdrug, supermarket etc prices if the same stuff can be bought for fraction of the price.
Any replies gratefully received.
I buy as much as possible from the pound shop and other similar places but check that I cant get it for less than a pound somewhere else . I think the stock is from other stores which either have a surplus or have gone out of business . I would be interested to find out whether this is a correct assumption on my part.
I love this web site !!!!!0 -
The comparison site is really cool, My shop at ASDA is £70.18 and at runner up there is Sainsburys, YES! Sainsburys at 98.82 (Cheaper than Mr T) and Waitrose in 3rd place at £101.16 and last is Tesco at 103.85!!! I cant believe the difference! Since Tesco abolished R+R I have shopped elsewhere and told them to shove there 1p per pound up there a**e and got a taxi at £3 more than it used to cost to Tesco and went to ASDA instead! I am saving about £40 a week!
Unbelievable!
I save money transport wise by going shopping with a friend and using the free bus to get to supermaket ( I think every supermarket has a free bus ) then we share the cost of a taxi home!0 -

On a similar note I've found my local convenience store to be really competitive on dried spices - big packets of them for less than the supermarkets charge for the little jars, and in fact often undercutting the same packets in the "ethnic" section at Tesco. Includes things which are usually hard to find or expensive, like whole nutmegs.0 -
I am a newbie to this forum thing - so here goes.
If you like pork and aren't worried about the subtle difference between Pork Loin Steak and Pork Loin Joints go for the "Boneless Pork Loin Joint".
The Maths is simply. 0.6 kg of British Pork Loin Steak (4 x 2 cm cuts) £ 4.16. British Boneless pork Loin Joint 1.146 kg £ 4.58 (which could give you 8 cuts plus) closer to half the price.
It appears cutting the Loin up and calling it steak commands a ridiculous premium!0 -
When buying pork/lamb/beef steaks/fillets; check out the price per kilo against that of a joint of pork/ lamb, often the joint is much cheaper per kilo and with a sharp knife you can cut it up into steaks qute easily and much more cheaply.0

Wait a minute Martin. In your email, you say: "The avg. family is paying £300+ a year more due to food price rises."
But these guys say: http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/economics/article3649124.ece
