We have been harping on about getting a new TV for the living room for a lot of months now and took the plunge this weekend.
Not the most energy efficient tv on the market but the picture quality is amazing - a Samsung 51 inch plasma for £698 in Currys, but there are of course other savings to be had, especially if you wanted to buy another Samsung product within 28 days.
With the current Samsung deal there is a different cashback amount with the various TV's, more for the more expensive I suppose, but with ours there was £100 off another Samsung product so we also got a Home Cinema kit at £210 - so £100 will come off that. Going through top cash back it was supposed to be 5% last weekend so theres that element plus a 1% cash back on Capital 1 cards.
On top of that, Currys wanted to sell their Anything Happens Warranty so we took that at £6 per month and that knocked £25 off the purchase price of the TV. The Anything Happens can be cancelled within 14 days so have done that already and don't have to pay them anything. A 5 year warranty has been taken out elsewhere online for just £135 saving £225 over the 5 year period.
This Samsung Offer only runs until next month I think so if anyone is contemplating a couple of high end items maybe you should look into their Rewards

PS - the sound system is epic for the price!
