I think they call it baking paper now rather than baking parchment - and I've got it from most of the main supermarkets. But I agree with previous posters, Wilkinson is quite good for baking products http://www.wilkinsonplus.com/food-wrapping/wilko-baking-parchment-non-stick-375mm-wide-5m/invt/0171408/?htxt=mTgi%2F6AMObK7WJ7SbylYNlYs8nVBxTxkAuYLQgUCFdU06kLUVvZUJljZEY9uvFACsSIK5fhTULAa%0A2Py9VXUwAQ%3D%3D
Ahh, this could be why I can't find any online at Asda, This is what I keep getting when I search online.

Is this the 'baking parchment'? I thought it was old fashioned greaseproof paper.
If so problem solved and it will go on my online shopping list for next week. Failing that I'll stick it on OH's next home brew order from Wilko's.
Thank's folks. I had begun to panic that for some reason someone had decided it was a health and safety risk and it has all been withdrawn. Just me being unlucky that everywhere I looked had sold out. It hadn't dawned on me that everyone would be baking their Christmas Cakes0 -

I bought some a few weeks ago and its used regularly. Brilliant stuff! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I'm so sorry! My finger whisked over a post and I reported someone for spam totally by accident! It was a mistake, I'd undo it if I knew how.Norn Iron Club member 4730

Where has all the baking parchement gone?
It seems to be in my cupboards, as a result of my husband being in charge of the shopping and getting it into his head that we regularly run out.
We don't.Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0 -
Another vote for the re-usable sheet! I got mine from £land, can't remember the name, but its fab for twinks biscuits! Bought another one to line the bottom of the oven to catch the drips! You just wash it in warm soapy water afterwards.0

I find that the reusable sheets go all sticky and yucky after a while and won't come clean.0

It is 50 metres and works out cheaper than most of the supermarkets, it is very good quality.
In January or February they have for the past few years, had a free postage month, so I usually buy a roll each of cling, foil and parchment and they will last me the whole year.
Thanks for that link - I've bookmarked it and willl keep checking back for the free postage, because they do seem to be very good value for money.0 -
Aldi's have started selling the reuseable type. Well, it was in mine when I was there an hour or so ago."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson
