this is unbelievable!
what kind of idiot gets that upset about not being thanked for a post?
personally, i think its the thought that counts. if you do something nice for people then you've simply done something nice - why demand praise and thanks? isn't that a bit arrogant?
i think you need to get out more - you know, make some friends, get a life...
and no, i wont be using the post so no need to thank you!0 -
I've thanked every comment in this thread.
Thanks.0 -

Remember the MoneySaving mantras!
IF YOU'RE SKINT......
Do I need it? Can I afford it? Can I find it cheaper anywhere else?
IF YOU'RE NOT SKINT......
Will I use it? Is it worth it? Can I find it cheaper anywhere else?0 -
Most of the time I can't even use the thanks button, as the page jumps to the top again if I try. It works if I press CTRL+F5 or something similarly weird, and from my office computer (my boss won't be thanking me for surfing privately, ahem). So before anyone gets het up about missing thank you's - nowhere in the rules is it stated that you are owed thank you's for posts. They are good manners, I agree, but some people don't use buttons, don't trust buttons, can't be bothered or are simply hindered by the Computer Fairy. If people post freebies, offers or competitions simply to rake a lot of thank you's in, I think they have not understood the purpose of this board, which is to help each other out of good will.Reclaimed thanks to this site:

Thanks for the post but the basic message is that if the reward appears to outstrip the effort involved then you will probably never see the advertised amount.
With this site I have registered and never had an invite, so I hope you are lucky and realise the amount stated.
Also sometimes remember that you can only say thanks if you are logged in. I personally sometimes forget to log in, as I only check the site once a week and open all interesting posts in the first 10 pages manually logging in to all the open tabs is a massive chore.

This thread made me laugh so much. Thank you everybody, including the original poster.
MrsYorkie, you have a LOT to learn about manners and people in general.
Your first lesson is: it's incredibly bad manners to impose your standards of behaviour on anyone. You have absolutely no idea of what people are thinking so don't make unrealistic expectations of them.
Second lesson. People get defensive when you make accusations. That's basic human psychology. How could you have lived so long and never learned that simple lesson? That explains people's reaction to you which anyone could have predicted; some were rude in defense (though wholly justified) and some parodied your behaviour in defense (wholly justified, AND hilarious). It also explains your reaction to their accusations, though theirs are wholly justified despite your protest.
Third lesson: When people tell you in some fashion that you're digging yourself a hole, STOP DIGGING!
Fourth lesson: If you give people offers that look too good to be true, they tend to be right to ignore them. Any suspicion here is probably justified.
Fifth lesson: "Thank yous" are worthless. It's a social habit that many people make without thinking. The only Thank You that would have been of any worth would be if somebody found that the advice actually worked, and came back to thank you for that. The hour between which you posted and started crying and moaning was clearly not enough time for any of that.
Sixth lesson: Your misleading subject line is irritating. The offer, even if true requires a lot of work, which given the time involved is not worth it especially if the money is not guaranteed. Time is money. It makes your post look like SPAM and nobody thanks spammers ever.
There we go. 6 Lessons on how to be a better human being - all free, and due to lesson 5, no "Thank You" or any form of validation is required.
Bonus lesson: If you behave like a big baby, people will treat you like one.
