Changed mobiles now no signal

Options
I have just changed my phone over to an iPhone 3GS, from my blackberry, swapping over the SIM this is on the Asda Vodafone network. The blackberry worked fine but the IPhone reports no network ? This is in my home , confused!

Sounds like a faulty/barred iPhone. It's not in airplane mode is it?
  • Hi,

It could be the aerial- my partner and I are both with 3.
He has the HTC and has excellent signal at home, I have the iPhone 3GS and lucky if I have one bar at home.

I bought a signal box thing to improve signal within the house and Taft doesn't work either!

The phone will be locked to the 3 network and won't work with a vodafone sim.

You could phone three and ask them to unlock it, they charged me £15 last time I did it.

What makes you think the phone is locked to the 3 network ???

I thought the OP had daughters phone from Australia which was on Telstra and assume it's been unlocked by now
It's not just about the money
  • Can you get signal anywhere, or is it just in your home that you can't?

Just from what I read in the original post and her second post. I can't see anywhere in the post that it was her daughters iPhone from Australia?, my mind reading skills are not working so well today.

edit - Aha, I see now, I thought post 4 was from the OP but its not.
