  • Haha @ that towel comment.

It is annoying when feedback things happen like that on eBay, but I'm sure they'd be quick to remove the mistake ones, as long as they are reported. Yeah maybe they were too busy to fish through the comments.

I think Sellers get a really hard time on eBay, I've sold a lot of stuff on there over the years, when I got successful last Christmas all I did was fear having less that 4.5* Detailed Seller Ratings, as they strip and of the good badges off you! Even though some Buyers are objective and rate 4* as a good experience (I would, if I didn't know what ebay used them for).
  • Last time I negged a seller, which was a long time ago, I got a message asking me if I was sure I wanted to leave negative feedback, so it would have been difficult for someone to leave a neg by mistake. Do they still do that?

They are selling about 1,000 items a month and getting mostly positives.

Maybe they don't care and can't be bothered spending the time and effort with Ebay to get that one negative removed.

One fewer negative won't make any real difference to their 99.7% rating.

Maybe they haven't even noticed it yet or maybe they have and it is currently being appealed.

Maybe, I cant say you are wrong.

However. I suspect that some just don't know eBay rules and procedures. I hope most do (but I'm not convinced).

I do think there are some buyers who should not be allowed to use ebay without tuition- just check out the comment on this neg left for a seller:

    Surely ebay will correct that?

Only if it's reported to them, and since the recipient is a high-volume seller they maybe didn't notice the discrepancy.
