Upgrading through a third party?
Options
Hi Guys,
That time of year has come around again, and my mobile phone contract is due to expire. I'm with vodafone at the moment, and have been for the last 4 years, and brought my old number with me from 3, and o2 before them, so i've had it a while, and am quite attached to it!
Anyway, although i'm a bit pee'd off with vodafone for upping my line rental half way through the contract, i am fairly stuck with them, as we dont get any signal in our office at work, and the boss has set up a SureSignal, as he is with vodafone too.
So, i've spotted a new phone i'd like, and have decided i can cut back on the amount of texts/minutes/data i have got to reduce the cost a bit, but i've noticed that on the comparison sites, (dialaphone especially), they can save me £5 a month, with very little change in plan details (Still with vodafone), and they offer a tv as a free gift, which is very tempting as ours is rubbish.
Are these deals for new customers only? As it doesn't really say whether it covers for upgrades as well. And how does it work with a third party managing your upgrade for you?
Thanks

It doesn't mention for upgrading customers, so why asume that it does, I think hand on heart you already know it's for new customers only.
I suppose you could PAC your number out to another network to PAC it back as new customer, bit of hassle but if you really want those fancy benefits? then it's worth it, personally I don't think it's worth the hassle.0 -
Thanks,
I think i'll give them a ring and have a chat. I dont really want to PAC out, and back in if i dont have to, but if it is a much better deal in the long run (Which it definitely looks like it is) then i will...
