So stop phoning people - call centres are a right royal pain in the backside.0 -
If you read the bbc link you'd have noticed that the police officer has yet to be sentenced
He was only found guilty of drinking driving, though.
Tiddlywinks - I'm not sure why what what seems to me to be inconsistencies between judges means I have a chip on my shoulder? I have no links to either the young girl or the policeman, nor am I facing any issues with the police or the courts. I just think that there should be more consistency in the courts that's all.0 -

That doesn't mean that they are driving. They might just want to get rid of you.0 -

Well if people made sure they paid for things correctly and checked their details before submitting their orders then i wouldn't have to phone people in the first place. We call people to check their details are correct and try and get their order processed for them, not to sell them random stuff.0 -

However, if you're a young, inexperienced driver who makes a stupid mistake with tragic consequences:

Might have something to do with the ice etc on the road in one incident and there been no bad road conditions in the other? If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550 -

Who knows?
Obviously you only get part of the story in the news, but for an experienced driver to think it's OK to do 40 in what he describes as treacherous conditions, and for that to be endorsed by the courts, seems odd. It was just the 6 pints that did it for him.
In the second story, the road conditions probably did appear to be good, and perhaps the girl wasn't expecting to hit a couple of deep potholes. Her inexperience clearly got the better of her. Very sad.0 -

If they are that inadequate, maybe they shouldn't be on the roads in the first place.
You are forgiven Sister Littlestars0
