TV Licensing debit my account quarterly and they debited my account Oct to Dec. I moved out on Nov 1 and hence expect them to refund for Nov and Dec but the reply was we
"We do not refund for less than a quarter"
I do not use TV in my new place.

That is the minimum refund period for a TV licence.
It would be a waste of the court fee to try the SCC route. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Bet you they'd charge for the quarter though0

 What a rip off.
But it is in their terms and conditions so I doubt there's anything you can do.
Do you need a licence where you are moving to?
I believe you can transfer a licence rather than having to cancel one and buy a new one.0 -
LOL....
But seriously, am I the only one here who thinks this is wrong? Even if it is in the T&Cs, it's unnecessary and unfair. OP should be entitled to a refund. I bet TV licensing wouldn't let you get away with saying "oh yes I moved in two months ago so there's no need to backdate my licence because a quarter is the minimum I'll pay for".0 -
