Another spend day here, not doing as well as I thought but I will get better. Its all these things for Christmas I need to keep buying!!!!! A present brought for a good friend, the bag to send it in, and a much needed cake. Expensive but so nice and takes the chocolate and cake urge away for ages. Its been a few months since the last one. I did well in that I went in to coop and put things back, brought nothing in the end as I didn't really need them. Just a shame I'd already brought the other things!!!!

Unfortunately, I've yet to find a way of avoiding a latte when I arrive:o and I then had to have another when I had to wait 40 mins for a prescription 4.5 hours later - choice was a freezing waiting room ... or the cafe :(

I allow myself £5 for all day hospital appts and I was .... wait for it ... 10p over ..... scuppered for a NSD for 10p!

I've to go again on Monday

Was going to try taking a flask but I find coffee doesn't keep that well in it .... has anyone tried with hot chocolate & does it keep for several hours?

I also do the not sleeping thing, which I hate.

As for being 10p over your nsd budget::mad:

With the flask, have you tried heating the inside up first with hot water before pouring in your beverage?

Glad it's not just me Marmite - I'm absolutely shattered now!:o

Will try to stay up for a bit or I'll be up at stupid o'clock again tomorrow:eek:

Flask ... yup - I think it's because I like my coffee made with milk (like a proper latte) and not sure that this keeps that well for several hours?

Not sure what else I could put in tho' (hate coffee with water - urgh!) and not really a huge tea fan.

I might try making some hot choc in the flask tomorrow (usually do this with milk too :o but more chance of this being OKish with water) and see how long that's OK for.

  • Hi all

NSD #5 for me today!!! Andddddddd #4 in a row!!! Yay!! Amazed to complete my 4 in a row within the first week!

Extra specially pleased with myself as went out with a friend today; managed to avoid Costa coffee for the first time ever with her AND walked the entire ASDA shop, baby clothes section and all, with £250 in my purse in cash & didn't spend a penny!!!:j:j

Tomorrow is meant to be a spend day, as meeting another friend for coffee if the weather improves. I owe her the coffee as she paid last time, & have a £10 gift voucher for the coffee, but she is bringing her OH  and I don't know the etiquette involved. Do I buy for him too?! I don't know... sigh!

We shall see how I get on. Foodwise, we are good to go for at least another 4-5 days without really even getting creative!:rotfl:

    Well done everyone!!!
