Marmite - enjoy your unexpected day off

Well I guess the time has come to wish everyone a very happy new year and all the best for 2013.

There's been ups and downs, highs and lows in 2012 (and that's just the Tardis spinning after some of Igor's legendary brew :rotfl:) but the thing that keeps me coming back to this thread is the wonderful and diverse group of people that are part of it. When advise is offered / asked for, it's always given with the best intentions and without judgement and the support between the group is immense - without being cliquey. I guess what I'm trying to say (badly) is that you're all a fab bunch - right...all together now....'for he's a jolly good feeellloooow and...' OMG - WHO gave Hubert some of the 1901 vintage Sprout punch :eek::eek::eek:

    Good Evening :)

What is everyone up to tonight? I am going nowhere and doing nothing. (such a saddo) I may venture out to do some first footing tomorrow though :) Auld year's night used to be such a big thing round here but now nobody goes out until the 1st. The 2nd is an even bigger day than the first for some reason

At the moment I am watching Grease (I know how to live) :T we've just said goodbye to Sandra Dee :rotfl:

Well I'm afraid today wasn't a NSD as I was so bored having been stuck in so much lately. I went out in the pouring rain & the wind broke hubbys umbrella that I had borrowed. :( I only wanted a packet of crisps but ended up spending £20 odd in Asda (which was packed) though that did include 6 pair of pants, several meals & 6 packets of sausage meat (at 25p a packet they were a bargain & I filled up the spaces I had made in the freezer over the last few days). :)

Next year (isn't it fun saying that on NYE) I have to do something about my addiction to supermarkets! We don't waste much food in this house, and I don't buy expensive stuff, but I do buy too much I find it hard to resist all the reduced bargains - and I get to eat a lot more variety & try new foods & brands that way.
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.

For some reason the 2nd is huge here. I don't know why.
This year though it will be chaos. A very well known footie team is playing here and there will be about 2000 (minimum) travelling support. A day for staying in the house me thinks.
