Another AQA question

I have applied and done the test etc, but a a little confused over something, and hope you can help.

HOw exactly does this work then, re questions? If I am successful, am I going to definately get questions and thus be paid, or is it a fight to the death amongst several researchers to see who can get there the fastest?

Also, has anyone on here had any problems, or is it totally legit and a good way to earn income? How much have you made?

Thanks

You are not 100% guaranteed work at any one time, but in reality, there is almost always at least a slow trickle of questions coming in. It's a tricky one to answer because it depends very much on what times you intend to work - there are busy periods and slow periods depending on what else is going on, i.e a lot of questions are from pub quizzes or people in pubs having discussions (though there are loads of other reasons for people texting in!)

I work weekday evenings and sunday afternoon/evening on AQA and these are busy times. I earn on average, £10 an hour though I have earned much more at times. There are certainly points where you can "see" researchers leaping for questions, but these are far outweighed by the points when there are too many coming in for researchers to cope with.

To add, you will definitely earn money. I've only been doing it since March, but was paid on time and no problems. This month I've earned about £370 so far.

Hello, I am filling in my application and doing the test this evening too and hope to be successful.
Can you advise, do I declare which hours i am willing to work or do I just log in to their system as and when I want to and answer the questuions that come up?
Many thanks. Fingers crossed that we all get accepted!!

Hiya - you don't need to declare or say when you will be working, you literally just log in. If there's questions there, you're able to answer them.

I've been slow on AQA this month due to my holiday. Boo!

  • Hi this is my very first post! I have been lurking about for a couple of weeks and have found the DFW boards extremely useful.

With regards to AQA, I'm looking at applying, but the website only says that there are vacancies in Ireland and Austrailia. Is it still worth applying?

I put down two people who have known me for a long time as I didnt have any work references to give.

Elles belles, if the website today is not showing UK vacancies then you cant apply at the moment. But check the website daily as it changes quite often.

Is it possible to merge all the AQA threads and keep it in one place?

I haven't had any problems. Earned £550 my first month, £450 my second, under £100 in my third month (lazy month) and on target for £400 this month.

You get paid the first week of the month for the previous month's work.
