Tesco sim in Unlocked Note 2

Hello
I currently have a iPhone 3gs with a 24 month contract with Tesco mobile , however I have had my eye on the Samsung note 2, however I cannot get out of my current contract for another 12 months. If I got a unlocked/SIM free note 2 then could I simply place the Tesco mobile SIM into the unlocked note? Would it work with full voice calls , SMS and Internet?

The iPhone uses a micro-SIM, not sure about the Samsung. But your provider will replace the SIM if required.No free lunch, and no free laptop

No the 3gs has a normal SIM. My SIM is a normal SIM but has a punch out for a micro SIM, if I just punch it out and put it in a Unlocked note 2 will it work?0
