Saw a good one this morning - at this staggered junction...

The lanes are marked as Lane 1 for left and straight on, Lane 2 for right. But at least once a week I see an idiot who wants to go straight on from Lane 2 (which means a left, right turn).

The sequence of lights (from this POV) is left and right go together, then far side goes then you go. The bulk of traffic is going right to left which means the exit to the left is often backed up (which is why there's a box junction). Which means that when it's your turn to go - there's often someone still in the box junction who has just come across wanting to turn to their right/your left. So if you're going straight on (as I most often do) you need to go straight forward then left around their rear bumper. If there's someone trying to do the same thing from Lane 2...

Today, there was so much traffic coming from the north (ahead in the picture) that it gridlocked the junction and the prat trying to turn left from Lane 2 found himself stopped broadside and pointing west on the wrong side of the road when the lights changed and the eastbound traffic promptly charged head on at him...
