Internet / sky/ broadband and phone HELP!

Hi all,

we are about to move into our house, next week and the current owners had sky broadband and tv and orange phone.

We have gone to sky to ask for a package:-

TV
Phone
boradband
HD

they told us they cna get the TV done a few days afetr we move in dec 3rd, but no phone and broadband until Jan 17th...Is this right? seems ridiculas???

We need the interest almost right away, any ideas please ON BEST WAY TO GET IT AND FAST? we can not be without phone and broadband..

Our area does not do virgin fiber optic so virgin out quation on broadband / tv

Any help appriciated, not very clued up on this.

    if Sky is who you want to be with, all you can do is ask for a better appointment time, or look for another provider, I have just signed up with EE and it took 2 weeks total.

    You could get a doggle for a few weeks, if all else fails.

    The phone and broadband lead time is based on the availability of an install/reconnection date from BT OR, who do the actual work regardless of provider. 6-8 weeks at this time of year is not unusual, if the weather continue to deteriorate it could be longer.
    No way to speed it up unless you want to pay for a business line, which will push you up the queue.
    The TV install is a separate task undertaken by Sky's own installers or agents.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
