NO the tech specs state 16/32gb user memory, that means there is 2 versions, 16gb and 32gb.

Then is states microSD (up to 32gb) that means it will support any micro sd card up to 32gb (which is totally separate from the internal memory.

So if placing 32gb in 16gb model, that means you have 16gb of internal memory and 32gb of external memory, so 48gb in total.

    +1 this is 100% correct.
The 32gb will work to its full potential with the Tab2.
  • Cool. not as I read the specs - but im a tech by trade so maybe reading "too much" into it lol. Happens.

Must admit - I did ask when I bought the 2, and was told by the sale assistant that 32Gb was it - including internal memory, but in general they know less than nothing about the products they sell - unless in a specialist store.

I couldnt find anything on Samsung's site that stated exactly what the max capacity (including internal and SD card memory) was though, which doent help. it leaves it quite open to interpretation.

Im assuming from this then, that those of you using a 32Gb card now - are getting 48Gb total memory? As in, those who actually have one (rather than those who dont but are reading the specs). Hopefully so, as then Ill get a 32Gb when I need to upgrade.
  • Doh - now Ive found another specs sheet on the Samsung site - this one does state 16Gb internal and up to 32Gb on the SD card.

Why two different places for Specs on their site ?? Still - sorted.
