I also have (to my shame!) an Auriane in Black Dust which I'm trying to decide whether or not to keep. The Black Dust is a nice colour, has a sort of sheen to it. Very smart looking.
One thing I really like about it is the 3 large zip sections. A couple of things I'm not sure about though. The grab handles are a lot longer than the ones I'm used to on other Kiplings. Also, I haven't actually used it yet (as I'm still deciding), but when you hold the bag by the long strap, the body of the bag kind of falls on its side, doesn't stay upright. It just seems odd the way it swings over to its side. Might just be because its empty, I should probably try it with some stuff in before I judge - but I have the Zelta as well (another one with 3 large zip sections) and that stays upright when you hold it by the strap.
Would appreciate comments as I'm really in two minds about this. I paid £41 and wonder if I should send it back and see if the price comes down. I only bought it because I really wanted another one like the Zelta.
Also, I believe the straps are not real leather (I don't use leather). On the Kipling website it just states the bag is 100% Polyamide so I assume that includes the straps. Does anyone know about this for sure?
PS Sorry for such a long post
Hi all I got the Auriane in Dust Pink today. I love the colour but not sure if I love the bag. I like it - it's smaller than I imagined very similar size to the Defea.
Empty it does tip to one side when you hold the long strap. I put all my bits from the Defea into it and that stopped the tipping. To be honest I don't like the long cross body strap. It is narrower than the Defea long strap and the bag doesn't look right worn cross body. The grab handles fit over the shoulder well but are quite narrow and may dig in if you carry a lot. They do make the bag look a bit smarter though.
I love the 3 compartments and the silver hardware.
I am keeping it and may order another in the black dust if the price is right.0 -
Also got the Yelina wallet in black dust today. Lovely colour and lots of organisation. Like this design more than the Usario wallet.
Do you match your purses with your bags or do you think a contrast looks better? Am in two minds whether I need a pink dust purse lol!0 -

Can I ask something, well two things actually....
- Can you safely use a kipling as a swimming bag without the colour transferring? I want a green or pink yacht M.
- I got three uzario wallets from amazon (returning 2), all the coin sections hardly open out at all, do they loosen up over time or do they stay like that?
