Are you all sure that you get authentic kipling at Amazon market place? I thought they were OEM products http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Original_equipment_manufacturer They are fake, imo, unless you buy it from Kipling directly or high street retailers or authorised dealers.0
-
Well I'm no authority but we did check this out a while back - and all the ones I have seen look/are great quality and indistinguishable from the ones I have had from QVC.
There are fakes on Amazon but they are under a different name but have the same sort of styles and the round rubber logo - though you can tell these are imitations quite easily.
Amazon sell all the same seasonal shades as Kipling and the styles are spot-on.
I do not think Kipling would allow fakes to be sold by such a large retailer under their own brand name.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0 -

- 1 Look for the plush monkey mascot in the form of a keychain. Discount the bag as a fake if it is missing this key detail, as almost every Kipling product has one, aside from small wallets, makeup
clutches and limited-edition bags.
- 2 Examine the monkey mascot's left arm; a genuine Kipling bag will have a Kipling name tab sewn to it, whereas counterfeit bags often have the tab sewn directly onto the body
of the bag.
- 3 Scrutinize the coloration of the round Kipling logo on the front of the bag; a genuine bag's logo will be nearly exactly the same color of the bag, while logos of inauthentic bags are of a very different color than the body of the bag.
- 4 Look
for a white label inside the bag that states the color, the product code and the Kipling name; every Kipling bag made since 2003 has this label.

When purchasing items online, I’ve always made it a point to choose a trusted and reputable merchant. When it comes to Kipling bags and accessories, the first place I visit is Kipling.com. Another trusted online store is Amazon.com, which sells Kipling products for various third-party sellers.
If you’ve purchased a Kipling, and doubt its authenticity, note:
* Fakes are heavy
* Zippers have metallic ends
* Monkey, hang tag and details
* Interior tag is missing

Hi I was wondering if anyone could advise me please. I have been watching the kipling wallets and can not choose between the brownie and yelina apart from the size one being 3cm smaller is there really much difference? And which do you all prefer?
Thanks
I have a few of each. I like the Brownie because of the nice colours and I do think it's well organised. Personally I think the Yelina is slightly better as I think it's more secure. One thing that worries me with the Brownie is that the coin slots are open (there is one zip compartment but also 3 open coin slots) and I always worry that loose coins may fall out while you are getting a card out of the card section - but with the Yelina, the card slots are in a completely different section with its own fastener.
That said, the Brownie is still a great wallet, and it's a bit slimmer than the Yelina, I would say.
I should add, I've never seen anyone else comment that they are concerned about coins falling out so it's probably just me!0 -

I am always skeptical about designer stuff sold at cheap prices unless it is sold at high street retailers duiring their sale.Well I'm no authority but we did check this out a while back - and all the ones I have seen look/are great quality and indistinguishable from the ones I have had from QVC.

As for the items looking identitical that is what OEM products are like. "OEM, manufactures products or components that are purchased by another company and retailed under that purchasing company's brand name.[1]"0 -

Actually we very seldom buy any from other sellers - mostly the bags and purses we buy are actually sold on Amazon by Kipling. Under the item's name it shows its from the Kipling Store on Amazon. Not one of the other sellers which list.0
-
The name under the item might show kipling, but it doesn't mean that it is sold by Kipling store on amazon. It simply says what the brand is. Correct me if i'm wrong please.
I always buy from amazon.co.uk not from their marketplace, I only recommend deals where the seller is amazon. All the bags I have are genuine. It is easy to filter, I put kipling in the search, select bags as the dept and then select amazon as the seller.0 -

Thank you but it is not Amazon selling them, the sellers are from the market place. I have been to china to their fake markets where people from abroad come and buy in huge quantities. They look identitical, however when you open it and look at the seams and other intricate details, the perfection is not there.

Which ones on this thread aren't sold by amazon.co.uk, I can't see any that are from their marketplace?0
