Don't like the monkeys myself either - take them off as soon as I get a bag so they are in A1 condition for whwn/if I sell the bag on.

    Oh would love cats!!

As a 'mature' person myself I would not mind using the monkeys if liked them - who cares how old you are!

I agree - I don't feel embarrassed about the idea of having a cuddly toy (I have a weakness for Charlie Bears as well :o) I'm just not keen on monkeys. I'm more of a cat person!

Re monkeys - if anyone does not like them you can sell them on ebay - people go for certain names - sold one for £20 once - so ended up keeping the bag and it cost me virtually nothing!

But if you want to sell the bag on later make sure you keep the monkey or the bag will lose some of its value.

That's a good idea! I'm not sure what to do with mine - in the past I've bought cheaper bags and just used them til they fell apart. I'm still using my first Kipling (have 2 boxes full of new ones waiting in the wings :o) and I really don't know if I would want to sell it or just retire it as I may want that colour again and they do stop making some of the colours after a while, don't they?

Having always had bags in the past which fall apart after about 4-6 months I'm struggling to come to terms with the idea of a bag that lasts for years! How do you decide when to change or retire a bag???

Well I have two small Quasos - beige and cerise - plus a large cerise one.
Then I just tend to have something for a few months and sell it on to get another. That way I can kid myself I'm not wasting money! Don't always make the full amount but mostly nearly cover costs.

With the Duo the other day for £24 - had voucher for £13 and didn't want the purse so just sold it for £10 so thats me sorted for next to nothing.

    .

Thats a good idea, stuipidly it never occurred to me to sell them on ebay - would you mind telling me - do you have a buy it now price, or just auction with a minimum?

A great excuse for being able to buy more bags, can sell the older ones. Actually I have a Fossil bag which I never use now, it is SO heavy. Just love the Kiplings as they are so light (before I add my junk)

Well if you sell the Fossil make sure you charge enough postage. I try and set a reasonable price so that if I only get one bidder I don't lose too much. Mostly have sold then for around what I bought them. I started the tiny purse at £10 and bags I usually do for £20 or if its a Fairfax around the £26-29.

You can list them on free weekends if you want and then if they don't sell just relist and maybe drop the price a little.

I often watch other bags to see what goes for how much.

With my little beige Quaso I sold the monkey for more than I paid for the bag so have it for free really.

Also remember the 8cm wide parcel size now. Most Kiplings fit this fine.
    Do send Signed For.
I also sell my used ones on eBay. I machine wash them first but only on 30 (never 40!) then put the monkey back on & find it's tag & bag.
Good pictures of inside & out ;)

    ♥ Thanks

:( Unfortunately there were only these purses

    29c9r39.jpg

    and only 2 bags - Breezer £38 & Hannelora £26

Did inspect the Hannelora - very useful for a travel bag as it lies flat to the body & has a zipped pocket on back.

But did get Birkenstocks for £14 :T

How disappointing - still at last you got sandals.

Not too fussed with my delivery today - not keen on the Ebb S in black and the Olito in Columbia Blue - while a nice colour - is sort of three bags sewn together - lots of pockets but its a bit heavier I find as there is more material involved.

I'd have been tempted by the purses - was it the New Money or the smaller version? Doesn't sound like the bags were very cheap though. :(

Spotted the Disney watches next to the purses in your photo - did you notice how much they were? No don't tell me, I've just bought 2 at full price so I'll only be upset! ;)
