Everyone loves the monkeys and they are cute but must admit as a 45 year old women I do feel a bit embarassed at times having a cuddly toy hanging from my bag. So much so that i turn the bag back to front sometimes and am thinking of removing it and adding to my keys instead. Anyone else?

 I hate the furry monkeys & have a whole drawer full of them

Luckily the Kipling I'm using at the moment has a lovely fat metal monkey in a blue sweater :D

    There are 2

    Shrewsbury
    Warrington

Warrington smaller than Shrewsbury, both have good stuff if you can beat the eBay Sellers :(

Shame neither is near me! :( Would love to visit one though. 7roland8 is right - you should be taking orders!!! ;)

Regarding the monkey - I removed mine and gave it to my daughter, I'm really not bothered about it. On the Defea that I gave to Mum, she asked me to attach the monkey to the zip pull to make it easier for her to get hold of.

On QVC they reckon the monkeys are really popular and some people collect them but personally I don't really like them, I'd rather have a kitty cat!

I too love my monkeys, but have removed some from luggage etc for practical reasons.

Oh and by the way I am 48 years young.

Don't like the monkeys myself either - take them off as soon as I get a bag so they are in A1 condition for whwn/if I sell the bag on.

    Oh would love cats!!

As a 'mature' person myself I would not mind using the monkeys if liked them - who cares how old you are!

Re monkeys - if anyone does not like them you can sell them on ebay - people go for certain names - sold one for £20 once - so ended up keeping the bag and it cost me virtually nothing!

But if you want to sell the bag on later make sure you keep the monkey or the bag will lose some of its value.

    Definitely agree.
Sold a Kipling monkey once on eBay that has a beer can with Kipling written on it.
Sold for a very silly amount of money :o
It was after that I googled it & found there is a Kipling Beer brand. That has the same style monkeys ....
