does anyone know what the balcony seats are like in drury lane are they 2 miles from the stage.as I am interested in lord of the rings...I made a big mistake booking balcony seats for the apollo theartre once
I used this "Dinner and Theatre" for £20 last November to treat the missus (plus got cheap room at Travelodge at the same time
) We went to see The Producers at Drury Lane and we had seats booked in the balcony. Because of the number of people that turned up that (Wednesday) night, the balcony was closed so we got an "upgrade" to the Upper Circle. I know this doesn't really answer your question - but the seats we had we pretty good, the balcony was above us and seemed pretty HIIIIIIGH up  But even if we hadn't been moved - for £20 its a bargain night out in London. We ate at Fire & Stone (Specialist Pizza's) which were pretty good too.
We had a really good time...
Hope this helps.
Oh and don't forget to use QUIDCO when ordering for 3% cashback :cool:0 -
My mum and I took advantage of this offer in March and saw 39 steps.
The seats were in the upper circle but we still had a good view. The play itself was fantastic very funny. Well worth the £10 the ticket cost.
The meal was at Tiger-Tiger just around the corner from the theatre down the Haymarket. The food was georgeous! It was 2 courses from their pre-theatre menu and there was a wide range to choose from.
Also as the meal is 6pm you can also take advantage of happy hour. Cant remember if wine is still included (used to be 1/2 price) but I do know that cocktails are 1/2 price and a bargain at £2:95 each, which is pretty cheap for a cocktail.
Hope this helps someone!0 -

I saw magic of the musicals sat in the balcony at Drury Lane they are not as far away as the Appollo the theatre is a tad smaller (in my opinion) however they are quite high up so no good if you're afraid of heights. You could see everthing going on on the stage however there werent many performers so it will be hard to tell as from the looks of it LOTR is going to be HUGE set and stage so may not see everything. Sorry that didnt really help did it.0 -
Blood Brothers is a fantastic musical, I've seen it 2 or 3 times.
Always sob at the end...but has a story line, not random dialogue made up to link well known songs.
Definitely recommend it, though not for young children, as there aren't lots of cheesy song and dance routines.

I have heard the 'Sound of music singalong' in Leicester square is halarious can anyone else recommend it before I book it - also Tiger Tiger for a meal? what sort of nosh do they do?A bargain is something you don't need at a price you can't resist.0

Presumably these are mid-week tickets?
or does it vary?0 -
I think it's all shows except the saturday night performance.
I wanted to see Blood Brother which was £20 dinner and show but didn't fancy the restaurant they suggested so serached for tickets seperately and found them for £12.50 - Also got a voucher with the confirmation of the meal and the fire and stone for £8
So on some of them there doesn't seem to be much of a saving for getting the show combo. But still got value for a Friday night!0 -
Would anyone recommend please a show for my mum and her friend in their late 50s? I don't want to send them off to some dodgy show or a dodgy bar/restaurant for 20 somethings that they wont enjoy!
:rotfl: Thanks!
