Any advice please?

Miduck : Whilst you may have time in your life to take 15 - 20 calls per day answering questions, others don't. I barely get chance to spend time with my own family, nevermind my parents daily!

Bit of a huge assumption that my parents taught me? therefore it is time I repaid them by teaching them?

FYI my parents taught me nothing, they didn't bother raising me, they had my grandparents raise me and teach me and didn't give too hoots about me. Don't presume things!

My mum is 75; has a PC with a dual screen set up so she can watch TV and surf at the same time; dad has a lappy - he's treasurer of the chess club...and Mum books ALL their holidays on line!

So your parents are not too old; they would do well to contact your local adult education office/centre where they can find relevant classes.

Do, however, make sure that they know how to recognise fake websites sooner rather than later but I think this independence should be encouraged - learning new things keeps you young, exercises the brain and is a positive step. And teach them this mantra -

"Thank you very much for your help, advice and time. Now we'll go away and think about it. Goodbye"

Oh, and don't answer the phone - the very act of ANSWERING the phone 15-20 times a day implies you have the time to answer. If I'm busy (or CBA) I ignore it!
