As per my previous threads we are looking to ditch our Sky +HD box and go Freesat.
I've googled all afternoon and after lots of conflicting advice i'm still none the wiser whether to go for a goodmans or humax :)

So, there are 2 Freesat boxes i've seen one is a Goodmans and one is a Humax (someone on here recommended the Humax) the quetion is what's the difference? is it just the brand (although i've never heard of Humax :o)
Can someone give me some idea which is better and why as aside from the price i cannot see any difference!

Thanks

Humax are the market leader. And the Humax interface is better than anything else I've see on the market.
Goodmans don't manufacture anything, they just buy in badged-up products from around the world.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • Goodmans is made by alba, along with bush and grundig. Humax is its own brand and better quality. Humax then is the much stronger reliable box then in terms of its internal workings.
Goodmans is a brand which designs products to a price point, whereas Humax is much more of a quality product, so stick with your Humax.

    Yep.
I have both a human pvr freeview and a foxsat box; human are the market leader by some massive margin for good reasons!
Unless specifically stated all posts by me are my own considered opinion.
