Do any UK banks offer no-nonsense savings accounts in the EUR currency?
Hoping for something with 2–3% interest.

There are some Euro Offshore Accounts listed on moneyfacts website; but the rates are worse than GBP rates.
My friend who lives in Portugal gets 5-7% on his savings depending on type of account; but there is obviously a risk that you dont get paid back in Euros. :T0 -
What about lower interest, like 1% or so?0

Is it easy to move money in and out of those accounts on demand? Can it be cashed (in EUR) at a branch?0 -

They don't hold Euros in UK branches. You might be able to order Euros but you'd need to ask the bank. You'd be able to get GBP at UK ATMs and Bureaux De Change, with appropriate costs for exchange rates and any costs.
Ah, I will ask.
That kinda sucks.
Is it free to have EUR accounts then? Since you mentioning debit card.
In Sweden I can have EUR accounts, but was looking to get something local.0 -

Do you google? e.g. http://www.expat.hsbc.com/1/2/hsbc-expat/products/current-accounts/bank-account (I am not recommending HSBC - it might be good, it might not be, it was just my first google find). In Sweden I can have EUR accounts
May be that's your answer?0 -
I have 2 euro current accts (they might have savings ones too but I haven't enquired). One with Barclays, one with HSBC. I have debit cards with both.0
