Contract mobiles

Options
I am just about to purchase a blackberry curve 9320. It is cheaper to buy t mobile network on a contract and then unlock to use my current vodafone sim. How does t mobile manage my account if I use the phone on another network? I doubt if I will go over any allowances.

Please advise.

  • You will just pay your contract fees each month to T-mobile and fees to Vodafone for useage.

Seems odd that this works out cheaper.

The t-mobile tariff will include some minutes, texts and data. You will be paying for these even if you don't use them. (and if you take the t-mobile SIM out of the phone you won't be using them). On top of which you will be paying vodafone for the useage you do make.

What is the T-mobile deal? Does it rely on redemption? Also, have you factored in the cost of getting it unlocked?

You can buy the phone outright for £120, which I suspect will work out cheaper/less hassle:

(There may be even cheaper deals elsewhere, I just tried Amazon to see what a handset would cost.)
  • Why would you take out a second contract for a phone thats worth £120? This makes no sense at all.

You know tmobile retail sim lock handsets dont you (so go to CPW or P4u if you are determined to waste your money)
