no phone tone but broasdband working

Broadband is working sort of ok but yesterday it kept coming up on the computer ' BT are updating their hub security and you need to choose your own password etc' but it kept working anyway without doing anything. Then when we went to use the landline there was just static. Rang BT who has booked a call out but said they…

Phone is now fixed. The engineer changed the box in the living room. Hopefully since it was the box we won't get charged. Apart from having to wait a week _ excessive amount of time - the engineer was lovely.
