I have lost 16lbs, I did get told off by the dietician(sp), I am not drinking enough, and at the wrong times of day but otherwise she is more than happy with my progress but I have enough of a restriction at the moment.

I am doing really well, I have lots more clothes to wear(non elasticated/stretchy jeans are out of the window!!)

I find it better to wear the tighter fitting stuff swo I can gauge how I am doing, I find wearing the jeans I wore on the day of the op are now to big!!!!woohoo.

When I get out of the bath, my stomach is moving upwards if you know that I mean( I can see myself naked in thr mirror)
Oh....I'm not going to lie to you......At the end of the day, when alls said and done......do you know what I mean.........TIDY

I don't think you have to be that big. All you can do is ask.

Well done, I've seen the documentaries on this type of surgery, I know they tend to show the worst bits but must have been hard.
One day I might be more organised...........

Im sure most people would prefer if you didnt waste NHS money. You dont need a gastric band, all it does is stop you being able to eat as much, have some will power and eat less on your own!

Or spend money that would be spent on a £1600 anniversary ring.

Thank you for your sensitive and thoughtful comments, I have done every diet in the book....do you have the same comments for smokers with lung cancer, alcoholics, people with eating disorders, people who do extreme sports and injure themselves.

How is it wasting NHS money ? cuts the risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, actually cutting the cost in the long run. I would think very long and hard before making sweeping statements like that. if you want a debate then just say so.

You have to have a BM of a certain number and strict guidelines before the NHS will fund, I wasn't heavy enough for that so I self funded.

You can't sweep all people with the same brush and make out we are greedy and lazy, it just isn't so....obesity is a real problem, and if it was as easy as losing weight and gaining will power...........

And all you need to do is keep your gob shut
Do you suppose the OP has not tried every option? No-one opts for major surgery without due consideration of the potential risks and pitfalls. If you can't be helpful, keep quiet.

OK, have counted to ten now. Well done to the OP, and good luck with your continuing efforts. I know it's not easy.
