Help! Home move with O2 broadband

Options
Hi, hope someone can help. We have been with O2 BB since Sep 2008 on the legacy package. Have moved home once in Feb 2011, was not charged for the move. We are moving home now within half a mile & keep our current BT landline number at the new place. To move the broadband O2 want to charge us £51 !!!!!. Its the same exchange & the new place we are moving to has O2 LLU (checked with SamKnows). I have no clue why they want to charge us for the move. thought one move in 12 months can be done free of charge. There is no cllear explanation from O2 either.
Is this charge normal & is there any way to get it waived. I have just signed up to a new 12 month contract with O2, so if i need to cancel I can, as I'm within the 14 day cool off period.
Any help appreciated. thanks.

Are you sure that the charge is for 'moving', or is it for installing or reconnecting a line at the new property? If there is none, or if it's inactive, then £51 is perfectly reasonable (BT's standard charge is £130) A home move does not include a line provision if required.
Otherwise ask 02 to explain the charge.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
