  • If you can avoid using them I would. We deaigned our door on line, but as we live in a flat we needed approval from the others in the building. By the time we got this our order had expired, so the lady on the phone said she'd run it through again; I didn't realise she'd left off the letterbox. We processed th order, paid around £1400 and waited three weeks for the door to be fitted. The fitters were wonderful, but once the door was installed we noticed it didn't have the letterbox and indeed the spy hole which had gone through on the order wasn't there either.
Yale customer service couldn't have cared any less, they answer the phone in such a couldn't care less tone of voice, they tut and huff and the basic answer to the problem is "it's tough". They've flat refused to do anything to fix the problem. After weeks of getting nowhere with it we've had to purchase the letterbox on line elsewhere, Yale mailed us the spy hole which they underpaid the postage for resulting in our having to travel and pay for it at the sorting office, and now the fitters won't fit either for us as they want instructions from Yale but Yake refuse to do so.
Over a month on from the door being installed, I'm heavily pregnant and having to run down three flights of stairs and back again every day to catch the post man, and we've now got to go about paying to have the letterbox and spy hole installed ourselves by someone local.
It's a shame because the product they sell is very good, but their service and their attitude is appalling.
