Has anybody here got one of those tape dispenser guns, used to put on that parcel tape. Are they any good ?
Which one would you recommend please.
I have until now just used cheap brown tape. But because it isn't very sticky, I tend to cover my whole box with tape. I see on one of the links 3m tape quite cheap, 6 for £6.99 and this would probably be far better than my current tape.
Thank you0 -
I've used those tape guns, no particular recommendations because I can't remember exactly which one I had. I got on well with it, my colleague couldn't abide it!
I think it partly depends whether you're using good tape with it or not. If you have cheap tape, it will still be cheap tape, splitting every five minutes and generally making a mess of itself. Also it's possible to 'catch' the packaging with the edge of the dispenser and make a hole on it.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I used to live in Bacup and just down the road from me was a place that specialised in this kind of thing, the warehouse is called Auctionpax

You are looking at about 14p or so per DVD sized jiffy bag."Don't blink. Blink and you're dead. They are fast. Faster than you can believe. Don't turn your back. Don't look away. And don't blink. Good Luck" - The Doctor.0 -

Their headline prices might be comparable to many eBay sellers, but add on their huge postal costs and they are mega expensive.
You can get much cheaper from most of the major eBay sellers .I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I get my jiffy bags for £0.00. The company I am on assignment at has deliveries of products that need protecting from damage, so each part is in a jiffy.
I can also get boxes, bubble wrap, airpockets & poly-beads for nothing as well.
Dre, do you buy-in this charity boxes in bulk to then label-up & sell-on ?. If so, can you re-sue the packaging they came in ?.
If you are on an industrial estate, what about speaking to other companies. You might find they loads of jiffy bags, boxes etc. that they bin as they have no further use for them once they are empty of their product & would be more than willing to sell them to you for a few pence per jiffy bag.Never Knowingly Understood.
