Cheap Jiffy Bags?

Options
Hey :)

I sell charity collection boxes and so need quite large jiffy bags/padded envelopes, I have been using size 7 but the cheapest I've found them is £1.00 in Asda, I have checked Staples, Post Offices, etc.

I had a look online but am struggling to find anything cheaper than 60p a jiffy, I'm fairly sure they MUST be cheaper somewhere?

Anyone found anywhere that sells them really cheap? :D

Thanks!

Thanks, not sure why I didn't think of ebay! I can get them for 13p each on there :)

Poundshop only seem to do the smaller ones.

  • Look up a company near to you that sells packaging on something like yellow pages or thomson local, then give them a call and see how much they will sell a box of Jiffy bags to you. Poundland and ebay are great if you want a handfull, but if you buy a box from a company who are a specialists you will get them much cheaper. Most big towns will have someone within driving distance, and they will be happy for you to go and pick a box up from them.

I can't remember ever having any issue with ordering large quantities of stationery through ebay, especially if they are a dedicated stationery supplier which they probably are if they are cheap.

My local Pound Shops all allow for bulk orders of standard stocked items - speak to the manager and he should be pleased to order them in specially for you :)
  • I buy all my stationery and packaging stuff online, mainly one website called http://www.polypostalpackaging.co.uk/
There are some really big specialist company on ebay, as long as you check the feedback %, (I go for at least 99.98%, preferably 99.99%, and I've never had any problems - also read the fb comments, if they are rude to cusomers I don't buy).
I stay away from the cheapest, normally there is a reason why they have to sell more cheaply. For example yesterday I was looking for something, found it at a bargain price, then read the fb and found the guy often wasn't sending the stuff out, quality wasn't great, and some people were short changed....

good sellers on ebay that I know of are:
    http://stores.ebay.co.uk/EasiPack
    http://stores.ebay.co.uk/All-Pack-Solutions
    http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Macro-Packaging-Ltd
    http://stores.ebay.co.uk/SOUNDSWHOLESALE

Wow thanks everyone! I'll be on all the websites tonight, it's such a minefield when it comes to packing! Spent a small fortune on a single box yesterday!

  • Gord you can't go wrong with those prices, what I also use them for is plastic carrier bags for the bin on my kitchen cupboard door, they are really strong, well stronger than tesco are using at the moment, 100 bags for £4.35 which is brilliant, especially as I live in Wales where you have to pay 5p for every bag you use, even in marksies.
